"LAX on the move" coming this May
Are you a frequent traveler for business or pleasure to and from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)? We want to share with you the latest news about the $14-billion airport modernization project in May.

Delta Air Lines will set off a move of airlines never before seen at a major U.S. airport. Airport and airline staff will relocate 21 airlines as part of Delta’s move from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3. Much of the work will take place on May 12, 14 and 16, immediately following the last flight operations each day, and continue into the early-morning hours of the following day.

During the move, Delta flights will operate from as many as four terminals (2, 3, 5 and 6) on certain days. The airline will be in constant communication with its customers, providing real-time information on departure and arrival terminals and gates through the Fly Delta app, text messages, emails and additional channels.

Tips for travelers:

  • Check-in online, print a boarding pass and confirm terminal and gate number with your airline before coming to LAX.

  • When entering the airport, look for signs directing you to the correct terminal.

  • Once at LAX, check flight and gate status on display boards in each terminal.

  • Plan ahead and allow extra time for walking. Some flights have check-in at one terminal with departure from another.

  • After check-in, some airlines will bus passengers to a different terminal for departure.

  • Sign up on the to save time and stress. You can speed through security and don’t need to remove your: shoes, laptops, liquids, belts and light jackets.
